4wd Card (Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40)
I made this card specially for my uncle for a milestone birthday. He has a Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 (it's a 4wd if you don't speak car) which he loves. We also love going for joy rides in it, and once I got to actually go four wheel driving in it which was heaps of fun. So when I was thinking what he might like on a card I need not go any further.
This card is made from a lot of different components and materials. Most of the vehicle itself is made of white craft foam, with the tyres and bull bar made of black craft foam. I used paper for the other black details such as the iconic grille around the headlights and radiator.
The headlights and the LED bar are made of a sparkly silver stock which is a sample I was given so I'm not entirely sure exactly what it is. I used fluorescent orange label stock and silver paper label stock for some of the smaller details.
I cut the windscreen out of some plastic packaging, you never know when that will come in handy.
I used kraft packing paper for the "ground" because it has a muddy colour and it was already crinkled which gives an uneven feeling to the terrain. The card itself is made with kraft card to keep the off road theme going. A bit of blue paper completes the scene and adds a nice splash of colour.
