Popup Flowers Mother's Day Card

Popup Flowers Mother's Day Card

I've seen a lot of cards using this cut-out effect and I thought I'd give it a go. I used my Cricut to cut out the text, then I stuck it on using double sided foam tape. The foam tape raises it slightly from the back ground which gives a great shadow effect.

Using printed scrapbook paper is a great way to add colour and texture to a project like this. It adds another layer of depth and interest. Adding rounded corners softens the shape of the card too.

I used double sided foam tape to stick the flowers together because it's easier than using glue and having to wait for it to dry. I didn't have any normal double sided tape at the time, but I'd use that instead next time so that there's not as much gap between the flowers.
