Scoop from 'Bob The Builder' Card
Getting invited to a 3rd birthday party is a great way to relive your own childhood. When I received and invitation with pictures of Bob The Builder characters on it, it became instant inspiration for a card. Of course I decided to go with the original look of Scoop, the new one looks weird to me.
After already making a Toyota Land Cruiser card, I was already familiar with the techniques I used to make this card. A lot of the layers were made up of adhesive craft foam in different colours. I used some fluorescent yellow label stock to depict his rear scoop without needing to use more layers of craft foam. I used black vinyl and white and silver label stock to make the face details. I was going to use orange cellophane for the light on his roof but we didn't have any so I used part of an orange ribbon I found. Some times you just have to think of other alternatives and make use of what you have lying around the house.
I included his eyelids by cutting out some of the silver label and sticking it to the edge of the craft foam.
I cut some of the foam offcuts to strips which I stacked to use as supports for Scoop's scoop. In the end I used 7 layers of craft foam to make this card, so it's pretty chunky!
